| This page is provided to assist AEA members with getting listed on
the AEA website as part of the consultants listing page. When AEA
receives inquiries requesting consulting services, it is to that page
that we send people. As part of our website redesign efforts, the
consultants listing page will become a searchable database.
To be listed, you must meet the following criteria: a) maintain current membership in the American Evaluation Association, b) have an active website to which we may link that describes your consulting services (see below if you do not have a website currently), and c) be available for consulting work in the field of evaluation. We list both individuals and firms. Listings for consulting firms may include any current AEA members on staff, as a contact. If you would like to be listed, please send your listing, as per the example formatted below, to Heidi Nye in the AEA office at heidi@eval.org.
AEA reserves the right to edit listings for length and in order to maintain consistency in style across the listings. Listings are posted once a week and you will be notified once your listing is online and may then check it for accuracy. AEA requires that you have a website in order to be listed so that those seeking an evaluator have somewhere to go to learn more about the scope of services that you offer and/or your areas of expertise. Need a webpage, but do not have one currently? While there are many options for purchasing a web page and/or hiring a designer, we have compiled a list of options that allow you to develop a free or very low cost webpage without website design expertise. Each of these hosts has its strengths and drawbacks, but among the following recommendations, we hope you値l find something suitable for your needs. Please note that AEA does not endorse any of the following service providers and has compiled this list strictly as a resource for its members. Free, easy-to-use tools are available to help you create your website--no knowledge of HTML required. You値l also receive free clip art, counters, tickers, and more. All Geocities free websites include banner ads. The allowable bandwidth is 3 GB per month. This is an important consideration; if your website is popular, you may go over your allowable bandwidth and the host will temporarily shut down your site (this is not likely if it is strictly a site advertising your consulting firm). For an additional $4.95 a month, your website can be ad free, and you値l receive 5 GB of bandwidth. For more information on Yahoo! You値l also receive up to 40 MB of storage space. You can customize your web address, and even have your own domain name. (A customized address would be something like: http://www.freewebs.com/yoursitename A domain name would be like this: www.yoursitename.com ) Free Webs also offers free website building tools that don稚 require any knowledge of HTML, plus all kinds of other freebies, including tools to build forms and polls, add counters, chat rooms, guestbooks, and more. For example, there痴 a free blog building tool, as well as a user-friendly tool for creating websites without HTML knowledge. You値l also find free clip art. All free Tripod websites include ads. For $4.95 a month plus a $10 setup fee, your can have an ad-free website.
