The 2009
Summer Evaluation Institute will be held at the Sheraton Atlanta
Hotel in Atlanta, GA located at

The Sheraton Atlanta has offered us a block of rooms at a
fantastic group rate, within government per diem, of $141.00 USD per night, single, plus tax.

There
are a limited number of rooms available under this block and they will
be filled on a first-come, first serve basis.
Ground
Transportation
The hotel is approximately 12 miles north of Atlanta-Hartsfield-Jackson
International Airport – ATL. Travel between the airport and Marriott
Marquis can take between 20-40 minutes depending upon time of day and
weather conditions. The Ground Transportation Center (GTC), located near
baggage claim, houses all Ground Transportation Services including
buses, taxis, shuttles (shared-ride, car rental, off-site airport
parking), limousines/sedans and City Trains/MARTA.
Transportation services are available for persons with
disabilities. Approximate costs are outlined. Details are provided
below.

Driving Directions
The distance from the airport to the hotel is 12 miles, and the driving
time is approximately 20 minutes depending on the time of day and

parking at one of the MARTA stations and taking public transportation

Parking
Hotel parking at the Sheraton Atlanta is
$18.00 USD each day to self park or
$24.00 USD each day for valet
parking. Both have unlimited in and out privileges.
Shuttle/Atlanta Link
The
Atlanta Link can take you between the airport and downtown Atlanta.
Fare
from Hartsfield Int’l airport to downtown is $16.50 USD
one-way, and $29.00 USD round trip. The shuttle operates from 6:00
AM to 12:00 AM, 7 days a week. Reservations are not required although
they are highly encouraged especially if you will be arriving after 5:00

Public Transit/MARTA
You can also get to the Sheraton Atlanta via
Atlanta’s subway. Fares

The
Sheraton Atlanta is located at the Peachtree Center Station, stop
#N1. Once you exit the train, you want to proceed to the escalators
on the north end of the train station. (If you travel south, go left.
If you travel north, go right). Once through the gates, go to the long
escalator to your right. Follow to the street level. Once on the
street level, go left toward the Hard Rock Cafe, that will be Andrew
Young International Boulevard. Walk 2 blocks and the hotel will be on
the right at the intersection of International Boulevard and Courtland
Street.
Taxis and Limousines
Estimated taxi fare:
$30.00 USD (one way/flat rate) to the
Downtown Business District. There is a $2.00 USD charge for each
additional person. Taxis and
limousines can be obtained at the airport's Ground Transportation Center
located outside airport terminal near baggage claim

training and travel, AEA can send an invitation letter to you via email.
