AEA AWARDS OVERVIEW 2008 Call for Awards Nominations; Advice for Nominators; Submission Instructions; Questions The Awards: AEA offers awards in seven distinct areas. In any given year, there may be no winner or multiple winners for a particular award. Each proposal is judged on its individual merit. The scope of each award is described briefly below. Marcia Guttentag
Award:
Presented to a promising new evaluator during the first five years
after completion of his or her Masters or Doctoral degree and
whose work is consistent with the AEA Guiding Principles for
Evaluators.
Robert Ingle
Award:
Presented to a member of AEA who has been particularly
instrumental in promoting the interests and operations of the
American Evaluation Association.
Alva and Gunnar
Myrdal Government Award:
Presented to an individual or group whose evaluation work
is highly influential in governmental contexts and who has been
particularly instrumental in
furthering the interests of evaluation through advocacy,
sponsorship, management, or use of evaluation in government,
including local, state and federal government, and whose work is
consistent with the AEA Guiding Principles for Evaluators.
Alva and Gunnar
Myrdal Practice Award:
Presented to an evaluator who exemplifies outstanding evaluation
practice and who has made substantial cumulative contributions to
the field of evaluation through the practice of evaluation and
whose work is consistent with the AEA Guiding Principles for
Evaluators.
Paul F.
Lazarsfeld Award:
Presented to
an individual whose written work on evaluation theory has led to
fruitful debates on the assumptions, goals, and practices of
evaluation.
Outstanding
Evaluation Award:
Presented for an evaluation (completed in the past five years)
that remains consistent with the relevant evaluation standards.
Outstanding Publication Award:
Presented for a publication that has been, or has strong potential
to be, instrumental to the development of theory or practice in
the field of evaluation. |
