The Local Arrangement Working Group and AEA welcomes you to Denver, Colorado for Evaluation 2014! Denver is “....the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and urban sophistication.". That’s the duality locals love about the Mile High City. With snowcapped peaks providing a spectacular backdrop, Denver is as refined as it is laid-back. It’s a place where aerospace engineers rub elbows with rock climbers at local brewpubs, at art festivals, or while strolling their favorite pedestrian mall. In preparation for your visit to Denver during Evaluation 2014, visit the Evaluation 2014 Guide to Denver created by the Local Arrangement Working Group and its volunteers. This guide, as well as the guides listed below, includes everything from getting around Denver to where to eat to places to see while in town. We look forward to seeing you in the Mile High City!

Dining in Denver

It shouldn't be difficult to find good to great restaurants in downtown Denver. Although many of the restaurants listed in the Restaurant Guide are considered “walkable” by the locals (less than a mile from the conference hotel), October can be chilly in Denver, so dress appropriately and consider using public transportation (including the free MallRide shuttle) to get to your destination. There are also many sidewalk cafes along the 16th Street Mall / pedestrian walkway. Many of these serve quick, inexpensive fare—perfect for grabbing lunch on the go. Denver restaurants have many healthy options, ask your server about vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu items.Visit the comprehensive Restaurant Guide to get the taste of Denver!
