| Abstract: This workshop offers practical process improvement tools for human service personnel and the consultants working with them. It will build their capacity by offering a roadmap for the application of lean concepts and methods, where mapping and analyzing current state processes are used to identify areas of waste with respect to time, expense, and material. Once areas of waste and undesirable effects of the current operating processes are identified, then solutions are developed and a future state is designed with processes that have eliminated waste, yet are effective in meeting program goals/objectives. This approach provides a way to rethink evaluation methods and it offers practical tools to improve the implementation of processes that are robust and ensure the achievement of intended outcomes. |
