Abstract: As demand for accountability and improvement continues to intensify, effective evaluation programs are ever-increasingly essential. Results from a study conducted with University of Maryland Cooperative Extension faculty revealed that lack of time, support, and training were challenges to conducting effective evaluation. In response to these results, an advisory group was formed to direct the development of a web-based system for faculty use in creating evaluation instruments. The faculty involved in this pilot project were part of the Family and Consumer Sciences program area of the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension. This session will serve as a demonstration on utilizing a web-based system to enable users to select content-specific questions from a standardized set, which automatically creates pre and post evaluation instruments. The data are then analyzed resulting in statewide impacts related to pre and post participant behaviors. Strategies for how these experiences could be applied by others will be shared.
