| Abstract:
This session will present the current draft of the Program Evaluation Standards prepared by a taskforce of the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE). The discussion will outline the process and procedures guiding the revision as well as proposed changes in content, format and organization. The purpose of this session, which is classified as a National Hearing, is to solicit and respond to feedback from those members of AEA with an interest in the development and use of the Program Evaluation Standards. All comments will be recorded and responded to by the Joint Committee. Continued input by AEA members will be encouraged and the procedures for review will be explained.

Elmima Johnson serves as the AEA representative to the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation. She will discuss AEA's role on the Joint Committee, the role of the Standards within the profession and practice of evaluation, and the importance of AEA member input in the development and revision of this guide to practice.
