| Abstract: This session on teaching program evaluation for diverse adult learners will provide attendees with tools developed over the past ten years of classroom refinement by the presenters. Handouts will include the course syllabus, schedule of content for 15 weeks of classes, and the detailed nine-step evaluation plan template that students complete as a semester-long project that forms the backbone of the course. The presentation will include tips and hints for working with classes of graduate students who are at varied life stages with a wide range of previous educational experiences from diverse fields of study. We will also provide examples of how we incorporate problem-based learning, differentiated instruction, cooperative learning, discovery learning, story telling, and lecture to achieve the maximum learning environment. |
