April Munson,  University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,  amunson2@uiuc.edu
Abstract: Attendees will take from this skill building workshop the ability to teach various aspects of evaluation through unconventional forms of representation and exploration, such as puzzle maps, concept maps, metaphor, poetics, game design, role play, and others. This session allows attendees to experience alternative visual and performative conceptualizations of the field of evaluation, understandings of theory, and implementation of methods. As the field strives to attract members of various disciplines, this approach promotes understanding that those members will also have various expertise and learning styles. Attendees will have the opportunity to investigate visual, narrative and performative representations, and work toward creating their own, most suitable to their own understanding and teaching style.
