| Abstract: In a retrospective assessment of a responsive evaluation conducted on an interfaith youth program designed to educate young people about religious freedom, this paper considers the moral responsibilities inherent in both the program and evaluation practices and ways in which they support and constrain each other. Four ethical dimensions are discussed: the rights and responsibilities of the client and evaluator groups, the complication of moral discourse by an ethic of care, the blurring of boundaries between pedagogy and indoctrination, and the exploitation of those involved for public relations purposes. |
