| Abstract: Mirroring the growth of the evaluation profession and of AEA, the number of local affiliates forming and aligning with AEA has grown rapidly in the past five years. As part of a continuing series of sessions on developing viable affiliates of AEA, this roundtable will share challenges and successful strategies in critical activities such as recruitment, membership, and programming. A panel of representatives from new and young affiliates will present real-life challenges and success stories. Invited mentor affiliate representatives will be on hand to share their stories in response to the panel's challenges. There will be an opportunity to connect new and developing affiliates with mentors in established affiliates who can provide practical support. Resources including the New Affiliate Tool Kit and Evaluation Conference Tool Kit, both products of the Local Affiliates Collaborative, will be shared. New and young affiliates are especially encouraged to send a representative to this session. |
