| Abstract: With “globalization” entering our common lexicon in the past few years, we have seen an explosion within the ranks of academia to tout international programs as a way and means to show case the work done by faculty and students. Ranging from academic tourism activities of study abroad to full fledged program offerings in other countries, we are seeing the whole gamut of experimentation, all in the name of globalization. This roundtable highlights the work that is being done by US bases social work faculty and where we need to be going with our work dealing with oppressed populations. |
