| Abstract: The goal of this roundtable is to discuss and explore the nexus that exists between theoretical logic models, instructional systems design models and the mandate of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 to create “scientifically-based instruction.” One way to implement “scientifically based-instruction” is to create educational programs using instructional systems design models and principles. Systematic instructional design requires the integration of evaluation in every step of the process. Logic models can serve as a way to organize the evaluation process and obtain reliable and valid knowledge about educational activities and programs. |
