| Abstract: Successful evaluation necessitates good rapport between all stakeholders in the process. Communication between clients and evaluators is crucial for building collaborative and trusting relationships. This presentation will use interactive dramatization to examine critical issues in evaluator-client interactions. The audience will be part of the presentation; they will be encouraged to stop the action and point out roadblocks to successful communications in the scenarios that will be dramatized. Among the communication issues to be demonstrated are: the classic non-listener; the over-the-top expert; the anti-collaborator; cross-cultural partners; the parsimonious client; distrusting stakeholders. The presenters are professional evaluators and a professor of drama therapy and ethno theater. |
