| Abstract: You've had access to the AEA Internal Scan report on the AEA website, read about it in AEA newsletters, and perhaps you were one of the more than 2,500 members who gave input via the survey, interviews or online discussions. Come to this session for a step-by-step presentation of how the scan was accomplished and a discussion of the scan's strengths and lessons learned. You'll learn about how the scan was conceptualized; how the contractor, the AEA office, and an AEA task force worked together to conduct the scan; how the scan involved AEA Board, committee, and member stakeholders and how these stakeholder groups responded to the scan. You'll also learn some practical information about conducting a large-scale online survey as well as online discussions groups. Finally, hear about the humor and humility involved in collecting data from thousands of other evaluators! |
