| Abstract: 'Imagine you are out to dinner with other AEA members, and each member is taking a minute or two to describe his or her evaluation-related work and/or study. It's your turn; what would you say?' This was the first question on the AEA Member Survey, a major component of the AEA Internal Scan, conducted in late 2007. This session will creatively present, summarize and discuss the responses of more than 2,500 of your fellow AEA members. The session is designed to raise awareness of what it means to be an evaluator and practice evaluation. You will hear about evaluation experiences and dispositions that are markedly different from your own and identify and feel affirmed by members from similar professional worlds. Laugh, learn, relate, and be surprised, but most of all, take a moment to get to know your fellow evaluators through their thoughtful evaluation narratives. |
