| Abstract: The presentation will focus on the use of fidelity measures to evaluate Evidence Based Practice programs in organizations serving persons with severe and persistent mental illness, many with co-occurring substance use disorders. Areas addressed will include: - A brief introduction to Evidence Based Practices - A conceptual model of core components of EBP implementation including evaluation - An introduction to fidelity measures the rationale for their use in evaluation and how they are developed - A description of the fidelity scale for Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment (IDDT), an EBP widely disseminated in the United States and the General Organizational Index (GOI), an accompanying evaluation measure - An overview of fidelity review methods, e.g., conducting a site visit, tips for getting accurate information, reporting to stakeholders on the evaluation results-- using examples from experiences with IDDT fidelity - Issues around fidelity evaluation, e.g., consultation or audit? |
