| Abstract: For 13 years, JBS International's Project STAR has helped grantees of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) develop, implement, and report on performance measurement and evaluation. During this time Project STAR has developed a series of paper and web-based self-help evaluation documents for CNCS grantee programs (AmeriCorps, VISTA, Senior Corps and Learn and Serve America). This demonstration will walk participants through the steps we take to make our evaluation and performance measurement TA materials timely, accurate and user friendly. We will focus on how context and work with grantees and CNCS led document development; the step-by-step approach in developing each document and document series; and how the documents are employed in training and remote technical assistance to grantees. STAR's materials meet the immediate performance measurement and evaluation policy needs for CNCS grantees, but the concepts used in developing them apply to many evaluation efforts and audiences. |
