| Abstract: It is necessary to provide capacity building assistance to help community-based organizations enhance and sustain their capacity to monitor and evaluate behavioral interventions. In this workshop, participants will be able to: - Understand the use of evaluation field guides as a tool to build evaluation capacity - Map behavioral risk factors to inform logic models used for evaluation planning - Learn the constructs and tools to implement evaluation of an evidence-based intervention We will provide an overview of an evaluation field guide and its use in building evaluation capacity; and illustrate the process for mapping risk behaviors and developing a logic model that can be used for planning, implementation and evaluation. We will then share an example of how these constructs are used to implement evaluation in one of CDC's evidenced- based interventions. This demonstration workshop will include a structured power-point presentation, demonstration of tools and group discussion. |
