| Abstract: This workshop will demonstrate how NVivo software can be used by evaluators for qualitative data analysis. Specific strategies will be provided to improve the rigor and content of formative and summative evaluation reporting. Discussion will show the software as a technological tool that promotes transparency of qualitative methodology and evaluation practice. The workshop will examine the construction of meaning from qualitative data as seen through the development and use of the code structure through a coding and analysis activity. Code structure design will be discussed in relation to two key NVivo features: data management and data analysis. The application and benefits of this process in team evaluations will also be demonstrated. Session participants will be encouraged to share and discuss techniques to improve the quality of evaluations and strategies to better prepare for future evaluations. |
