| Abstract: This session will provide attendees the step-by-step methods to standardize performance measurement and develop indicator reports for tracking progress and prioritize evaluation efforts. The relevance and the application of CDC Framework for Program Evaluation and the Program Evaluation Standards (i.e., utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy), in the development and implementation of the performance measurement process will be discussed. We will explore the steps for engaging stakeholders in the process of - clarifying objectives to articulate program priorities - developing indicators from objectives - assessing the validity and reliability of the measures - building consensus on the measures, and - developing reports for monitoring performance Finally, we will demonstrate how to integrate performance measurement into routine program or organization practices, and how such processes can serve to enhance the communication of program priorities and strengthen collaboration among staff and partners. Attendees will learn from real life examples from the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination, CDC. |
