| Abstract: Many funders require collaboration across groups providing services and programs to populations in need. Collaboration is in vogue with little guidance in the needs assessment (NA) literature for starting a collaborative assessment. This session begins with a didactic exposure to two approaches for working together in terms of needs. One is Cultural Auditing and the other is Environmental Mapping. After exposure to the techniques, participants will be divided into small teams to work on an environmental mapping exercise for scenarios (aging, education, community services, etc.) supplied by the facilitators. Then a guided discussion will occur to get a sense of what the teams produced. |
