| Abstract: Evaluators struggle to track longitudinal student-level outcomes, because of contextual issues. The process is prohibitively expensive or not possible due to incompatible data systems, data ownership concerns, and policy restrictions (e.g., the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act [FERPA]), among other barriers. California Partnership for Achieving Student Success (Cal-PASS) members use web-based Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes to efficiently access aggregate summaries of K-16 student-level data to inform practice. During this demonstration, Cal-PASS staff will describe the Cal-PASS data system, explain what an OLAP cube is, and demonstrate its use to the audience. The audience will gain knowledge of the Cal-PASS database, as well as the OLAP cube tool for data access. |
