| Abstract: Part of the AEA vision states that "We support developing relationships and collaborations with evaluation communities around the globe to understand international evaluation issues." What are ways for us to promote such relationships and learnings? How should we choose which groups to partner with and what forms could such partnerships take? The AEA International Committee and the International and Cross-Cultural TIG held two brainstorming sessions on this topic in Denver in 2008. This will be a follow-up session to share what has been done over the past year, and to solicit additional ideas for fostering partnerships with associations of professional evaluators around the world. In break-out groups we will brainstorm criteria for selecting partners as well as ideas for activities that would be mutually beneficial to AEA and partner groups. We will also consider which sub-groups within AEA, such as local affiliates, might be interested in forming partnerships with international groups. |
