| Abstract: Evaluators from the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will facilitate an interactive demonstration of its new Logic Model and Evaluation Plan Criteria Checklists. The checklists were developed to provide a set of criteria for assessing the quality of logic models and evaluation plans. The checklists were piloted in our programs for heart disease and stroke prevention and demonstrated to have utility in assessing the quality of logic models and evaluation plans of three distinctly different funded programs: those that address policy and systems change, provide direct services, and implement quality improvement. Presenters will guide conference participants through a practical application of the checklist to illustrate its usefulness in determining the quality of evaluation products. Participants will gain a better understanding of the development process of evaluation checklists and learn how they have been incorporated in evaluation practice |
