| Abstract: External evaluators are often contracted by organizations receiving grants to develop and facilitate programs to benefit the community. The Urban League of Battle Creek is one such organization that was organized to assist an engage in activities which lead to the improvement for opportunities for disadvantaged persons and families. The evaluation was conducted to determine the extent to which the Urban League of Battle Creek has effectively and efficiently followed through with the objectives identified in their grant proposal to the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The evaluation was designed to be a learning tool for facilitating the improvement of the Urban League of Battle Creek. Accordingly, a collaborative evaluation approach was utilized to actively engage the Urban League of Battle Creek stakeholders during the whole process. A cross-sectional survey design was also selected for this evaluation. The steps, advantages, and obstacles of this evaluation will be shared. |
