| Abstract:
The Program Evaluation Network (PEN) is a software program that uses a set of standard outcomes and valid, reliable instruments to measure the results of statewide Extension programs. Extension faculty and staff have validated 41 instruments for 16 different Extension programs. PEN allows Extension Agents to produce instruments with local program names and questions, while maintaining the integrity of the standard, statewide scales. The software provides individual, unit-level, state-level, and multi-state summary reports of the data. In its first three years, University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University Extension agents used PEN to survey over 76,000 participants in programs that served nearly 300,000. The data has been used for stakeholder communications and program improvement. This demonstration will present how the software works, including a discussion of similar products and challenges. Participants will learn how their organization can subscribe to this software through a licensing agreement.
