| Abstract: This session will offer useful information for maximizing the utility of NVivo when reporting evaluation findings. After reviewing the fundamentals of NVivo, the presenter will explore various techniques and tools for communicating and reporting to stakeholders, particularly community partners and non-researchers. The session will demonstrate how to use queries and visualizations of qualitative data sources to find “just the right quote” for a report, to build charts and visualizations that are accessible and understandable to community members, and to create data-driven models for program planning and improvement. Examples used throughout the demonstration come from interviews and focus group data on tobacco control programs with Alaska Native communities. The session is intended to build the working knowledge of participants to visualize and share data with multiple stakeholders and to demonstrate how software can improve the quality of reporting findings from qualitative data. |
