| Abstract: The Center for Disease Control awarded funds for both the Rape Prevention Education and DELTA initiatives to Ohio creating a unique opportunity for developing a collaboration between the CDC, State of Ohio Department of Health, Ohio Domestic Violence Network (a private, non-profit organization) and local prevention service providers for increasing primary prevention capacity. The presenters will share lessons learned and empowerment evaluation exercises they developed for increasing primary prevention capacity of service providers and the state violence prevention coalition over the past three years. These tools have served to align national, state and local goals, objectives and outcomes regarding violence prevention efforts. Moreover, they have worked in tandem with the Getting to Outcomes framework to increase accountability through integrating evaluation activities into service provision and state planning. Participants will have the opportunity to work with the tools to increase their collaborative evaluation capacity building skills in this hands on workshop. |
