| Abstract:
Is this program effective? This is a troubling question for many informal science, engineering, or technology programs, yet it is an answerable question. Process evaluation aids in understanding program operations by elucidating fidelity, context, quality, intensity, breadth, and depth of the program and by describing program participants. This paper will explore strategies for answering the question of program effectiveness using real world examples from a school garden program and an environmental education program.
