Abstract: This presentation will describe a state-wide, systems-level effort to better align existing practice and evaluation resources within a framework that will support and augment increased evaluation capacity among school counselors in Missouri. Specifically, this presentation will demonstrate how one state is organizing existing curriculum, evaluation surveys, needs and resource assessments, and other existing tools into a Getting to Outcomes (Chinman, Imm & Wandersman, 2004) framework such that resources are coordinated with their specific use (e.g., needs & resource assessment fits with the planning step of the framework). Summaries of research identifying strengths and challenges at each step will be presented as well as plans to increase evaluation capacity within school counseling.
