| Abstract: This Think Tank will orient participants to the purpose and process of concept mapping as a means of documenting quantitative and qualitative changes in attitudes or knowledge and the dynamics of change. Methods and applications will focus on essential elements of mapping (vs. elaborate data collection and analysis) that can be used in non-formal education programs. Following on that orientation, small groups will be challenged to describe how the method might be adapted to diverse age and cultural groups, used to document quantitative vs. qualitative growth, and serve as a context for tracking group process and maturation. The Think Tank will reconvene to share insights and outline the key elements and emphases of an Extension fact sheet that can be used to describe and utilize concept mapping. Subsequently, evaluators will be engaged to refine and elaborate the use of concept mapping in Extension practice. |
