| Abstract:
Being culturally responsive as an evaluator is an ever present task. One must always be cognizant of thoughts, perceptions, and assumptions of oneself and others as it relates to the environment and context. Designing culturally competent methods of instruction only complicates this phenomenon, for one must initially anticipate how the material will be received by the community/communities of interest. This presentation is a testament to and exploration of the challenges in creating a culturally competent and responsive web based protocol. Formally known as the virtual Systems Evaluation Protocol (vSEP), the online guide is being created to serve as a self-administered mechanism to assist STEM organizations in enhancing their evaluation capacity, through the creation of effective pathway models and evaluation plans.
