| Abstract: As gender issues have been mainstreamed, their inclusion in evaluation has often become an afterthought. In this roundtable, we will share specific examples of ways in which gender can be addressed in evaluations of projects or programs with not particular focus on gender. The presenters come from a variety of backgrounds, both male and female, discussing their experiences in US and international contexts. Some topics will include: engaging men as allies in gender analysis, safety and ethical concerns for researching gender-based violence, gender and labor, and more! The discussion will focus on the pros and cons of concrete methods and instruments which might enable a stronger gender analysis in an evaluation. |
