| Abstract: In the modern Western world, most evaluation is carried out based on a fundamental world view or "evaluation imaginary" (Schwandt) that is difficult for most evaluators to see, discuss, or thematize, simply because this world view is to increasing extent defining what evaluation is and can be and how it should be carried out. Interesting views or reflections that allow us to thematize the modern evaluation imaginary may be found if we step outside the beaten path defined by the modern evaluation imaginary itself. I have had the privilege to meet one individual from the Pasqua Yaqui of the Sonoran Desert. He is with us today. His name is Dr. Fileberto Lopez. Fileberto has accepted to be interviewed, and we hope that through the interview, we will all learn a bit about the Modern Western Evaluation Imaginary, especially as seen from the outside. |
