| Abstract: Demonstrating Value Initiative has been exploring whether data visualization software could promote the use of evaluation results and performance monitoring data in organizations and programs with limited technical capacity. We were interested in particular whether, * this format could improve decision-making and more clearly communicate the learning from evaluation and performance monitoring activities; * there are low-cost software programs available that can be used with minimal technical skill. We found that this software is a powerful tool and is possible within the skill set of most evaluators and small organizations. In this session, I will demonstrate how to apply one software - SAP Crystal Presentation Design - to develop a simple interactive report including how to model relationships and set up 'what-if' scenarios. SAP Crystal design builds directly on Excel and produces Flash files that can be incorporated into websites, PowerPoint presentation and PDF files. |
