Abstract: The Architecture of Environmental Evaluation Project establishes an adaptive framework and tools for mapping the practice, theory and policy of evaluating environmental programs, policies and interventions. The project is in the initial stage of development and its first products will be published in May 2011 on the Environmental Evaluators Network (EEN) website (www.environmentalevaluators.net). Through a comprehensive literature search, literature review and citation network analysis, this stage of the project documents and analyzes the peer-reviewed environmental evaluation literature published over the past decade. The outputs include an adaptive and searchable database of journal articles, a series of interactive network visualizations and Google Earth maps, and an environmental evaluation video compilation. The purpose of this session is to introduce these interactive and adaptive tools, to show participants how to use the tools and actively contribute to their design and development, and to discuss the project's intended outcomes and potential limitations.
