| Abstract: Since 2003, the National Science Foundation has funded the Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) program to address concerns about the growing demand for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professionals in the U.S. The ITEST program contributes to the STEM education and workforce pipeline by helping young people and teachers in formal and informal K-12 settings acquire the skills needed to succeed in a technology rich society. The ITEST Learning Resource Center (LRC) helps to build a Community of Practice among project staff and evaluators by focusing on successful strategies and lessons learned. This session will look at the variety of ways that the ITEST LRC supports this Community of Practice, and will explore participants' interest in and capacity for bridging and developing formal networks to cultivate a national evaluation Community of Practice focused on STEM education and workforce development. |
