| Abstract: What does culturally responsive evaluation really mean? What challenges, successes, and surprises are involved in attempting to conduct one? This roundtable discussion will provide an opportunity for participants to share insights and experiences and learn from one another. Each presenter will share her experiences as part of a truly multicultural evaluation team for Manoomin (wild rice): Investigating the Past, Present, and Future Conditions of Wild Rice Lakes on the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Reservation, a research and education project funded by the National Science Foundation. Through these different lenses, we will lead a discussion to explore ethical issues of power and culture in evaluation. |
