| Abstract: Analysis has been defined as the process of bringing order to the mass of gathered data (Schattzman and Strauss, 1973; Marshall and Rossman, 1989). As complex as this may be in any given evaluation by any single evaluator, it is even more so when considering a mixed methods evaluation design involving multiple members of an evaluation team. This roundtable will discuss the process used by our evaluation team to craft and implement a data analysis framework and strategy for a multi-year, multi-method evaluation of a quality improvement training program for senior executives in a healthcare setting. Drawing primarily from the mixed methods and trandisciplinary science literatures, we created a matrix of data sources and potential analyses, which was then used to create a framework for data analysis and synthesis and to guide staff resources allocated to each. Challenges encountered throughout this process and proposed next steps will be discussed. |
