| Abstract: The weakened US economy, coupled with ever-growing need, has placed greater strain on the delivery of effective human services programs by public and private groups alike. It is imperative that these programs and their services be able to demonstrate they make a difference. To do this, public and private program sponsors have commonly required scientific program evaluations showing that the program has achieved the outcomes noted in its logic model. Those sponsors are then left with the difficult choice of deciding how their scarce resources should be allocated among programs showing results. This session focuses on a demonstration of the tool that human services program have successfully used to prove their return on investment and obtain additional funding. Attendees will learn that with minimal additional data collection, they can turn their outcomes data into quantifiable gains and savings at state and federal levels. |
