American Evaluation Association
INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
The International Partnership Program offers the opportunity for the American Evaluation Association (AEA), by means of its Executive Director, in collaboration with the International Working Group (IWG) and Cross-Cultural Topical Interest Group (ICCE TIG) to support the strengthening of peer Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation (VOPEs) through mutually beneficial partnerships.
The partnership program is an integral part of AEA’s International Strategy. The program offers an innovative approach to strengthen individual VOPEs’ capabilities by taking advantage of and maximizing capacities and experiences within the global community of VOPEs. The program encourages VOPEs to form partnerships with AEA to help each other to strengthen their capacities to achieve any one or more of the results below:
- The VOPEs have strengthened institutional capacity (architecture, governance, functioning)
- The VOPEs have systematic membership development (visibility, reach, legitimacy and promotion)
- The VOPEs have improved capacity to influence key actors and effectiveness in addressing the enabling environment for evaluation
- The VOPEs have greater effectiveness in strengthening the capacities of evaluators and commissioners of evaluation
The objective of the program is to strengthen the field of evaluation by strengthening the professional organizations and its practitioners. The program will offer small amounts of financial support to expedite the bilateral partnership initiatives jointly developed by AEA and National or Regional VOPEs.
Interested VOPEs may prepare and submit proposals as follows:
a. As part of the EvalPartners Peer-to-Peer (P2P) annual process
b. Direct to AEA three times a year: March 30, July 31, and November 30
c. Just added: Open, rolling deadline between April 30-June 30
